Firstly, forgive me for my absence last Wednesday. I took a sabatical to help mum (Twiglet) organise the sewing room following the arrival of new furniture and a huge hoard of craft stuff from storage. More about that later.
You're here to see my workdesk today aren't you? Here it is...
In the foreground are yet more little needle-felted backgrounds ready to work on, so there's lots to keep me busy on these long, cold winter evenings.
One day I'll get round to framing them all (but then I'll have nowhere to store them... note to self: must organise some exhibitions for 2016!) Did I just make a New Year's resolution already?!
To the right is a top secret project - a customer Christmas order- so I haven't been able to share it with you in full just yet. But here's a quick peek...
...or perhaps I should have said a quick squeak!
Now I explained earlier that I'd been helping sort Twiglet's sewing room last week. 'Can it really take a week?' I hear a few of you say. 'Can it only take a week?' I hear others chortle. Well it has...there was quite a hoard. I certainly owed Twiglet some help as much of my sewing time is spent there and a good portion of the crafting hoard that has been amassed is actually mine! The full horror of the task would be too grim to share with you, dear reader, so here's the edited highlights!
That's all for today, thanks for stopping by. I'll swing by some WOYWW desks later on today and see what other WOYWWers have been up to.
Happy crafting x
Trust me when I say it will take a lot longer than a week to sort your lot of crafty stash....and then you can all come to sort mine lol. Mum and I were hunting out my knitting patterns last night and it made me realise just how much stash was just thrown into cupboards in my hurry to empty my old sewing room!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
You and Twiglet are so very brave to even try to tame the hoard...I am too afraid to even try :) Love the felted bits! Happy WOYWW! PaperOcotilloStudio #37
ReplyDeleteHI, I am not at all surprised at it taking a week, I'm firmly in the 'did it only take a week' camp! It took me way more than that just moving from one room to another, and sorting out all the stuff I was never going to use. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #4 xxx
ReplyDeleteOh, the stuff that we all amass is colossal. My stuff is divided over two houses and one day I will have to amalgamate everything and sort it all out. (dread it)
ReplyDeleteYes, an exhibition is a good idea. We will remind you at some stage....
Have a good week,

Oh, she said we'd see more here... like I said, I don't envy you at all! but it will all get sorted eventually. love the squeak peak ... cute! Helen 3
ReplyDeleteThat is a labour of love! Good for you for helping Twiglet....I bet it made her task so much better. I'm loving your sneak peek of the order, soooo cute. Your 2016 exhibitions will be here before you know it!!!

Well done for taking on the job and what a feeling knowing the whereabouts of the hoard of stuff we have. 2 resolutions before the year is ended must be a sign of a creative thinker. Have a lovely week.
