About Me

My photo
I am a lifelong fabric artist who loves bringing a home to life with quirky, unique and sumptuous pieces of textile art. I learnt my craft from sharing many a happy hour sewing with my talented mother. I particularly like collage, free-machining, needle-felting and creating home furnishings using a combination of machine and hand sewing. I love incorporating vintage and reclaimed fabrics, buttons, beads, jewellery and other items in my work to give them a second chance at being beautiful.

Handmade homeware

After just under two years, my home decorating project is complete. I've finished off the decor in my guest room with one of my handmade cushions. This is a very special room. Not only does it mark the end of my interior decorating project, but it's the room that contains my most precious piece of furniture. Although to most, my mirrored wardrobe may look like a functional guest room essential, to me this piece of furniture says 'I love you'. By a random twist of fate, buying this wardrobe brought me together with my man :)

  1. Sounds like the beginning of a romantic novel - how about that for a fund raiser!! Your room looks lovely and as a regular guest I can add that it is very comfy and tranquil too. x

  2. PS you could post a close up of that lovely little pic on your bedside table!!!

  3. Hehehe if it's that comfy maybe I should put the rates up!

  4. Lovely room you've created M, popped in from your Mums blog as she'd posted a link! Hope you don't mind, and looking forward to more creations.

  5. Thanks for the compliment Brenda! Looking forward to a weekend of crafting with my mum this weekend so will be bringing more creations soon!!x
