Well I've said "jog on" to the working week which means I can look forward to a couple of days of self-indulgence with mum, crafting 'Twiglet-style' :)
Im beginning to prepare my bag of materials but I'm a bit lost for inspiration about what the final creation might be (a couple of glasses of wine ce soir might rectify this creative block!)
Im loving fuschia pink and hessian as my latest colourway and have picked out a few choice buttons and postage stamps to tone in. Just need the idea!
It's gotta be more than just a mood board so any ideas will be warmly received!!
About Me
- Tilly Tea Dance
- I am a lifelong fabric artist who loves bringing a home to life with quirky, unique and sumptuous pieces of textile art. I learnt my craft from sharing many a happy hour sewing with my talented mother. I particularly like collage, free-machining, needle-felting and creating home furnishings using a combination of machine and hand sewing. I love incorporating vintage and reclaimed fabrics, buttons, beads, jewellery and other items in my work to give them a second chance at being beautiful.

Having a quickie before tea!
Just grabbing five minutes to blog while I have a 'quickie' sewing session before I head round to my friend's place for curry night with the girls.
Working on a new idea for wedding hearts, which is great because it means I get to rifle through my box of buttons - full of one off vintage finds - mother of pearl, glass and bakalite.
Right, must dash... determined to get some buttons selected and stitched before I head out for the evening!

Handmade homeware
After just under two years, my home decorating project is complete. I've finished off the decor in my guest room with one of my handmade cushions. This is a very special room. Not only does it mark the end of my interior decorating project, but it's the room that contains my most precious piece of furniture. Although to most, my mirrored wardrobe may look like a functional guest room essential, to me this piece of furniture says 'I love you'. By a random twist of fate, buying this wardrobe brought me together with my man :)
First blog!
